Auditor Certification

The EICC and GeSI partnered with Verité and the International Register of Certificated Auditors (IRCA) to launch an auditor certification program related to the Validated Audit Program (VAP).

Certification
EICC auditors are certified to conduct VAP audits after completing training from Verité and other requirements. EICC auditors are certified by IRCA (International Register of Certificated Auditors). Coursework currently focuses on Labor and Ethics; Health & Safety oriented classes are on the roadmap for future development.

VAP Related Training
The Verité Lead Auditor course provides participants with the competencies necessary to successfully perform EICC-GeSI Labor & Ethics VAP audits. The course covers social systems auditing, investigative skills, management systems, validation and reporting and the EICC-GeSI Audit Process.

The course is designed for external monitors, internal monitors, nongovernmental organization, and civil society organizations in the labor rights field, and workplace CSR staff. It introduces a unifying Find, Ask Why, Resolve, Apply strategy to efficiently gather, validate and analyze information in order to most effectively address workplace conditions.
