General Capability Building Resources
The following resources can be used by companies to better understand corporate responsibility as well as to find resources in their region that may be helpful in building corporate social repsponsibility practices.
General
Corporate Responsibility Management Systems Guidelines
- The Guidelines enables individuals within the electronics industry supply chain who have corporate responsibility functions to better understand the structure and content of management system requirements within the EICC Code of Conduct (Section D) and other corporate responsibility-related supplier codes of conduct, and assist them in:
- implementing the management system requirements of applicable supplier codes of conduct;
- auditing their operations to applicable management system aspects of supplier codes of conduct; and
- periodically reviewing the status of their labor, ethics and environmental, health, and safety management systems.
- The intended audiences include internal auditors and managers from supply chain social responsibility, human resources, ethics, health and safety, and environmental areas with responsibility for policy development.
Regional Corporate Responsibility Resources
As a service to our members and other companies, the EICC and GeSI developed resources which companies may find useful for improving their Corporate Responsibility practices and programs. The EICC and GeSI do not endorse or make any claims about any service or website link provided here.
Each Regional Resource document contains a list of organizations that cover training for that region. Providers include organizations such as training, consulting, trade union, certification and standards, and nongovernmental organizations. The services provided by these organizations are applicable for employees in companies of all sizes, governments, workers organizations, and civil society.
The training programs cover programs targeted for factory managers and line supervisors, all workers with a focus on migrant and female workers, and staff in corporate social responsibility, procurement, public relations and communications, training, human resources, and auditing.
