| EICC Governance
The EICC is charged with carrying out the Vision, Mission and Goals of EICC through the structure outlined below:
The Board oversees governance, budget and administration and offers strategic guidance.
The Steering Committee provides strategic direction, ensures progress against the strategic plan and adopts modifications to the EICC as it undergoes periodic updates.
Work Groups operationalize the strategic plan by developing practical tools and advancing best practices such as outreach and supplier capability-building and reporting.
Members-at-Large contribute to monthly and quarterly meetings and are expected to serve on work groups.
EICC Vision Statement
Through the application of high standards, EICC can foster better social, economic and environmental outcomes for all those involved in the global electronics supply chain. Outcomes include:
- Increased efficiency and productivity for companies and suppliers.
- Improved conditions for workers.
- Economic development.
- A cleaner environment for local communities.
- A better understanding of and/or reduced risks to supply chain and business continuity.
EICC Mission Statement
EICC will strive to deliver the positive outcomes outlined in our Vision Statement through a shared approach to code of conduct implementation. This approach will:
- Reduce duplication – we will coordinate our efforts with others in the global electronics supply chain to develop and promote the application of a unified set of implementation tools and methods, using the EICC as the common framework.
- Focus efforts on positive social and environmental change.
- Build supply chain capability.
- Create a process that solicits feedback from multiple and varied stakeholders.
EICC Statement of Goals
- Seek membership and/or participation from companies within the global electronics supply chain that promote progressive corporate social responsibility (CSR) programs and that are committed to continuous improvement, the pursuit of excellence, and the sharing of successful techniques.
- Develop and promote electronic tools and other effective mechanisms based on a common set of standards that help businesses enhance their CSR performance.
- Provide a mechanism to dialogue with stakeholders to understand their concerns and to share with those stakeholders the practices and results achieved by the EICC.
