EICC Tool Development

Central to the function of the EICC, is the development of practical tools designed to facilitate successful implementation of the Code. Tools are developed within EICC and through cross-industry collaborations.

The current suite of EICC Tools includes:

Risk Assessment Tool – Designed to help EICC members prioritize their monitoring and compliance activities.

Supplier Self-Assessment Questionnaire – A self-administered survey for suppliers to provide information relative to their social and environmental performance and management systems. The survey is available as a download in three languages:

Audits – EICC has developed an Audit Protocol that sets forth high-level expectations and an Audit Procedure that outlines processes and milestones. EICC has also identified a pool of qualified third-party firms to conduct audits, the results of which can be shared by EICC members.

“Electronics-Tool for Accountable Supply Chains” (E-TASC) Internet Database – A Web-based information management system that provides companies with a platform to collect, manage and analyze social and environmental data provided voluntarily by their respective suppliers. Information is owned by the suppliers and provided by request.
