Environmental Sustainability

The EICC’s environmental sustainability tools enable electronics companies to assess their own operations’ greenhouse gas emissions, water usage, and waste as well as that of their suppliers. The EICC also provides general resources and reports to assist companies in their environmental work.

The EICC provides three main sets of tools:

  • Benchmarks and References: As a service to our members and other companies, the EICC developed this list of resources which companies may find useful for improving their Corporate Responsibility practices and programs.
  • Environmental Reporting: The EICC Environmental Reporting Initiative standardizes approaches to measuring and reporting on key carbon, water and waste indicators in the global electronics supply chain.  This Initiative was formerly known as the Carbon and Water Reporting Initiative.
  • Environmental Reporting Initiative Annual Progress Reports: Reports related to EICC's Environmental Reporting Initiative can be found on the Reports page.  These reports reflect the respective scopes of the Initiative at the times they were published.
